Race, Culture, and Immigration: Who Belongs?

This Vital Conversation explores how race, culture, and immigration shape our understanding of belonging—both in society and within the Church. Together, we will reflect on the ways cultural comfort and bias can create barriers, and consider how faith calls us to listen deeply, honor diverse identities, and build communities that reflect the fullness of God’s Kingdom, where every story has a place.

Sunday, March 15th

Why Do People Migrate?

This Vital Conversation focuses on the reasons people leave their homes, including violence, poverty, and unsafe living conditions. Migration is often a search for safety, dignity, and hope, yet many face barriers and rejection along the way. Grounded in faith, this conversation calls us to respond with compassion, confront injustice, and support those who are displaced, fostering communities where every person is valued and welcomed.

Friday, April 15th

Connecting Faith, Race, and Immigration Justice

In this final Vital Conversation, we explore how faith, race, and immigration intersect, and how the Church can move beyond welcoming diversity to actively cultivating transformative relationships with immigrant communities. Together, we will reflect on how shared experiences, honest conversations, and inclusive practices can build a Church that not only embraces difference but desires it, embodying God’s call to justice, belonging, and radical hospitality.

This will be a special session as we close this series of reflections and honest conversations—inviting each of us to carry forward the insights, challenges, and commitments born from this journey toward justice, radical hospitality, and the fullness of God’s Kingdom.
